Job Description - Relationship Manager

Health Partners is South Australia's largest open health insurer providing cover to over 90,000 people. Being not-for-profit means that we put our members first and always do the right thing for them when it comes to their health protection and care.

We are now seeking a highly motivated and experienced Relationships Manager to join the Health Partners Team.

About the role

Reporting to the Manager, Private Health Insurance, the Relationships Manager will be responsible for the day to day management of relationships with key partners and stakeholders, focussed on nurturing and expanding these for Health Partners. Your primary focus will be on building strong existing connections, fostering trust, and delivering exceptional service resulting in membership growth through business to business partnerships that are built on long-term satisfaction and loyalty. You will collaborate closely with various internal teams to align and deliver on our strategies, anticipate needs, and drive mutual success.

Key responsibilities:

Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing partners and stakeholders, aligned with Health Partners value expectations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all contractual and day to day matters, understanding clients' needs, goals, and challenges to provide tailored solutions and support.
  • Proactively address performance matters, resolve issues or concerns should they arise to enhance satisfaction and retention.
  • Monitor relationships for all contractual requirements and compliance, including quality obligations outlined in contracts.

Business Development:

  • Identify opportunities for growth within existing relationships and develop mutually beneficial strategies to capitalise on them.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to expand the client base and secure new partnerships.
  • Leverage industry knowledge and market insights to anticipate trends and capitalise on emerging opportunities.

Planning:

  • Develop and implement multi channelled sales program (corporate partnerships, aggregators, existing broker relationship) aligned with Health Partners' strategic goals, risk appetite and financial parameters.
  • Establish and maintain clear goals, metrics, and milestones to measure the success of relationship initiatives.
  • Analyse performance data and feedback to continuously refine strategies and improve outcomes.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, risk and compliance, sales, marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure alignment and seamless execution of initiatives.
  • Provide insights and feedback from client interactions to inform product/service enhancements and process improvements.

Communication and Reporting:

  • Communicate regularly with clients and stakeholders to provide updates, gather feedback, and address inquiries.
  • Prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and other materials to share insights, progress, and outcomes with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Other reasonable duties as required or directed by management.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in relationship management or a related field, reflective of success in fostering and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders.
  • An innovative mindset and the ability to think outside of the box.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills proven to enhance effective working relationships.
  • Strong collaboration capabilities including the ability to effectively negotiate and determine mutually beneficial outcomes with stakeholders.
  • Alignment with Health Partners values and the knowledge and ability to reflect these at public forums including exhibitions.
  • The ability to analyse and present on information to stakeholders internally and externally.
  • A Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in a related field.

You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident at the time of submitting your application, be able to provide two recent referees and hold a current satisfactory National Police Clearance (within 12 months) or be willing to obtain prior to commencement.
