The Uniting Church in Australia (UCA) is one of the largest not-for-profit and religious organisations in Australia. Broadly, each state is called a Synod and has a governing council with its boards to manage its affairs. The Synods are drawn together through a National Assembly. The Synod of NSW and the ACT is incorporated under an Act of Parliament and includes a Property Trust which effectively owns all the assets of the Synod of NSW and the ACT.

The Role:

As our Relationship Manager sitting within the Partner Solutions and Support team of 10 you will be working to grow client relationships across the Uniting Churches entities as well as actively contributing to team development and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies by leveraging organisational partnerships, to attract and retain business from Uniting Church organisations and other identified target audiences.
  • Manage the end-to-end process of home loans, personal loans, car loans, and church loan enquiries
  • Provide high-quality loan, investment and transaction services and products to existing and prospective clients.
  • Act as the key relationship holder with existing and new clients, internal stakeholders and management in delivering UFS service proposition. 
  • Support the Head of Partner Solutions and Support Team in achieving the UFS strategic plan and growth objectives 
  • Prepare and action initiatives including service improvements and a client visitation program to fulfill client needs, retain and grow the business of your designated portfolio.
  • Cultivate strong direct relationships with all clients and promote available products and services to retain and grow the business 
  • Manage and resolve issues and complaints from clients and other stakeholders promptly, whilst maintaining client advocacy
  • Identify client needs, review, and assist in the innovation of new products, services, and distribution channels. 

 

Essential Skills:

  • Minimum 10 years of practical experience working within the Financial Services Industry in a client-facing sales and service role supporting retail, high net worth and commercial clients. 
  • Product knowledge and experience in dealing with transactional banking, home loans, car loans, personal loans, bank guarantees, credit cards, merchant facilities, deposits, and managed funds.
  • Well-rounded knowledge of Industry regulatory and compliance environment.
  • Well-developed range of professional skills, especially in verbal /written communication, negotiating, and building relationships. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel, and Power BI applications
