Release Manager

• Canberra Based Role, full time in the officer working arrangements with minimal flexibility
• 12 month contract with 1x6 month extension
• Federal Government Role - Must have Negative Vetting 1

We are recruiting a Release Manager on Behalf of Defence, Specifically a division that is focused on managing Defence data for military and strategic advantage


Experience & Skills

• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and to present to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Exceptional presentation skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Leads the assessment, analysis, planning and design of release packages, including assessment of risk.
• Liaises with business and IT partners on release scheduling and communication of progress.
• Conducts post release reviews.
• Ensures release processes and procedures are applied and that releases can be rolled back as needed.
• Identifies, evaluates and manages the adoption of appropriate release and deployment tools, techniques and processes (including automation)

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• A qualified practitioner with specific qualifications or industry training (Bachelors or above) or relevant industry experience of more than 5+ years, Relevant Industry and / or ADF experience.
• Experience in ICT infrastructure and ICT services definition in Defence industry and/or systems integration experience
