Job Description - Reliability Manager

About the role

As the Reliability Manager at Brimble, you will lead a team dedicated to maintaining the reliability and performance of our rail resurfacing machines and equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity. Your role will involve implementing strategies to optimise reliability, conducting analysis to identify areas for improvement, and overseeing the execution of maintenance and repair activities.

Reporting to the General Manager Projects Delivery, the key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the reliability and availability of machines and equipment.
  • Lead a team responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimisation of equipment to minimise downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Conduct reliability analysis and root cause investigations to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritise maintenance activities and ensure alignment with operational goals.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track reliability metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage the implementation of predictive maintenance programs to anticipate and prevent equipment failures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards in all reliability-related activities.

About You

  • Relevant qualifications in engineering, preferably in mechanical, electrical, or related field.
  • Proven experience in a reliability engineering, maintenance management or similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) principles and predictive maintenance technologies.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hold a current valid Australian Drivers Licence.
