The Opportunity

As a highly autonomous and experienced Chef, you will enjoy supporting Aveo'stwenty kitchen and dining spaces in ourretirement living communities across Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast and Toowoomba. You will travelto our various villages on a daily and weekly basis to work closelywith asmallteam of Cooks, Chefs or Food & Beverage Attendants. Reporting to the Regional Support Manager, this position is a highly autonomous rolethat is integralin the successful running of our dining operationsand requires you to be adaptable, moulding yourself to each kitchen you take charge of.The successful candidate will have a positive rapport with residents and staff, be hands-on, understand food safety principles and ensure sufficient supplies of goods & ingredients. Most importantly, you'll have a passion for food and delivering a gold standard of service to our customers!

This is a permanent full-time Monday-Friday position

You will:

• Travel to variousAveoSEQ villages as per operational needs (to cover leave etc.) and assist with the daily kitchen & chef operations
• Work closely with the village food & beverage team to deliver great service, ensure the restaurant is running smoothly
• Monitor daily Food Safety checklists and ensure strict adherence to all OH&S policies
• Complete stock management of all goods including ordering, rotation and amendments
• Assist with staff rosteringand ensure the team deliver outstanding service to customers
• Following up on day-to-day operational issues including adhering to schedules, cleaning lists and performance issues

What you'll bring:

• Experience in volume catering kitchen/chef positions (e.g retirement villages, aged care,mining/FIFO, agency organisations orRSLs)
• Current driverslicense and reliable vehicle(required)
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (required)
• Kitchen management experience (ordering stock, rosteringand admin experience)
• Current Police Check clearance and minimum two (2) COVID-19 vaccinations (required)
