About the Role

As an Assessor at ABC Group, you will be responsible for estimating insurance repairs for residential buildings across the Sunshine Coast. The role requires an experienced builder with knowledge in Assessing or Estimating, who wants a new challenge or to take the next step in their career. 

Your day-to-day duties will include (but not limited to);

- Travelling to site or utilising our desktop assessment tool (Virtual Assistant) to assess property damage

- Providing timely and accurate building assessment reports and quotes for residential insurance claims

- Review specialist reports determining causation and  accurate application of policy liability

- Communicating effectively with stakeholders

- Actively celebrating the success of our team!

To ensure your success you will possess the following;

- Ability to conduct building assessments of damage, and in turn provide accurate reports, scope of works documents and tender quotes to perform repairs.

- Excellent communication and customer service skills.

- High attention to detail with experience quoting in the residential construction space. 

- Previous trade experience required and QBCC Licence preferred.

- Previous experience in the insurance repairs industry will be highly regarded.

- Intermediate-level computer literacy (previous experience using estimating / project management software is a bonus!)

- Strong understanding of building regulations and codes and OHS standards.
