Rates: $100 - $120 per hour (inc. super)
The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) maintains an impartial and independent electoral system for eligible voters through active electoral roll management, efficient delivery of polling services and targeted education and public awareness programs.
Chief Information Officer Division: The CIOD leads and supports a range of AEC projects/programs including, but not limited to, the Modern Workplace Program, Cloud Technology Project, Polling Place Technology Project, and the Election Systems Modernisation Program (Indigo Program). Indigo Program (Tranche 2): The Indigo Program is a large-scale transformation program to modernise business capabilities and replace core election ICT systems with a citizen-centric, agile technology platform. The Program will transform the AEC’s delivery of electoral services and ensure ongoing integrity of the electoral system. Tranche 2 comprises a variety of work packages with a focus on business process re-engineering, data management, legislative compliance and replacing aging systems.
The AEC Command Centre (AECCC) is a new facility and an integral part of the AEC's day-to-day service delivery with three operational modes – Watch Mode, Election Mode and Incident Mode. The AECCC provides a dedicated physical and digital space to bring people together in order to provide the right information to the right people at the right time to support centrally led and nationally consistent service delivery. The Command Centre and Operational Model will deliver trusted and independent oversight and decision-making support to AEC functions and ensure the integrity of all operations.
The Audio Visual Support Officer operates under direction from the AECCC (Australian Electoral Commission Command Centre) Watch Keeper and assists with providing general support and level 1 audio visual services to the AEC Command Centre. The role will engage with AECCC staff and colleagues across the AEC to the ensure that the administrative functions of the Command Centre operate efficiently. During Election Mode, the AECCC hours of operation will be extended outside standard business hours and staff may be required to work across shifts. An elevated work cadence will be vital over extended timeframes for briefings, handovers, processes and relationship building with other business areas.
