About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Head of Data Management to lead the setup of our new data management practice in Australia.
This is a unique opportunity to build the data function from the ground up, establish governance frameworks, define data strategy, and embed a culture of data-driven decision making across the organisation.s.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the data management strategy for the new Australian practice.
• Establish data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and processes from scratch.
• Design and implement scalable data architecture, metadata management, and master data processes.
• Build a high-performing team of data stewards, governance leads, and data engineers.
• Drive data quality initiatives, monitor performance, and ensure continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across business, technology, and compliance to ensure data is accurate, secure, and accessible.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory and privacy requirements, including Australia’s Privacy Act and GDPR (where applicable).
• Promote a data-driven culture and increase data literacy across the organisation.
• Introduce best practices, tools, and emerging technologies to strengthen the data function.
• Provide regular reporting to leadership on data performance, risks, and opportunities.
