Job Description

Manager - Debt Advisory

Sydney

Our Debt Advisory team supports organisations to make sound financial and capital structuring decisions. We work closely with our clients to provide independent advice on financing options and strategy and then support their capital raising activities in the market, including preparation of supporting materials and direct negotiations with financiers.

Our Debt Advisory team focuses on providing independent financial advisory services and financing options across a range of transactions, including (amongst others):

  • Medium to large corporate borrowers seeking to raise, refinance or consider options for raising debt.
  • Securitisation / asset backed deals to facilitate consumer and commercial lending.
  • Project finance transactions across the mining and energy industries.
  • Advice for government related organisations associated with debt or debt-like instruments.

Our team has the capability to deliver funding solutions from multiple capital providers including bank and non-bank lenders, and we are heavily involved in the preparation of supporting materials and direct negotiations with financiers to support our clients’ capital raising activities in the market.

Your Opportunity – Manager (Sydney)

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, numeracy skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel), and will support the team's national strategy by:

  • Demonstrating enthusiasm for, or recent experience in, a corporate finance, financial advisory or deals-based environment.
  • Applying your corporate finance or commercial experiences across a broad range of capital products and situations.
  • The ability to develop financial models and provide financial analysis of your modelling.
  • Providing financial analysis for complex transactions across a variety of sectors.
  • Supporting the delivery of transactions and interacting with clients, financiers, and legal advisors.
  • Identifying issues, generating options, and supporting our recommendations to clients.
  • Assisting with the preparation of engagement deliverables including funding options reports, teaser documents, information memorandums, financial models, term sheets and other detailed PowerPoint reports and presentations.

The KPMG Debt Advisory team sits within Corporate Finance, working shoulder to shoulder with our M&A colleagues, and is part of our larger national Deal Advisory & Infrastructure group. This group is dedicated to assisting clients to find and drive value throughout the deal and transformation lifecycle, from strategy through to deal execution and post deal implementation.

Our Debt Advisory team leverages global industry insights, research, market data, and client relationships from the global KPMG network.

How are you extraordinary?

  • You enjoy working in the detail, with a proactive attitude towards accuracy and deadlines.
  • You can work autonomously in a teams-based environment, where you can readily multitask and work with limited information to determine the optimal outcome.

Your Experience

At KPMG, we believe diversity of thought, background, and experience, strengthens relationships, and delivers meaningful benefits to our people, our clients, and communities. To be considered for this opportunity, your qualifications, skills, and experience could include:
