Remote Patent & Trade Mark Assistant - Immediate Start

Michael Buck IP Patent & Trade Mark Attorneys is a well-established intellectual property law firm with offices in Red Hill and Spring Hill, Brisbane.

We are seeking a superstar Patent and Trademark Assistant with a minimum three years of experience in Intellectual Property to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and innovative environment, supporting our Attorneys in managing patent and trademark portfolios.

This fulltime position is available for an immediate start and is being offered as a fully remote opportunity for the right candidate.

The Role

• Processing official correspondence from IP Australia and opening mail;
• Opening patent, trade mark and design files and entering relevant details;
• Liaising with Australian and foreign clients regarding their intellectual property matters;
• Administrative tasks including filing, scanning, photocopying, invoicing, organising diaries and making appointments;
• Preparing and filing patent, design and trade mark applications with IP Australia; and
• Assisting with general administration when required.

About You

You will be a focused and calm individual who thrives working in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment. You will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with a high level of professionalism. You will have experience in using Microsoft Office, be tech savvy and preferably experience using web-based databases and legal software systems. 

Knowledge of patent and trademark processes and procedures is essential.
