Why This Role?

As SEEK’s Principal Security Architect, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and embedding security strategy across the organisation. Reporting to the Head of Architecture (Platforms), you’ll partner with both the Security and Architecture teams to define, champion and evolve SEEK’s enterprise-wide security architecture ensuring our platforms and products remain secure, scalable, and aligned with emerging risks and regulatory demands.

You’ll influence everything from security target states and reference architectures to technology health metrics and SSDLC standards while fostering strong partnerships across cloud, data, platform and customer domains. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead from the centre, guiding both strategic direction and cross-functional implementation.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Define and champion SEEK’s enterprise security architecture, roadmap and guardrails
• Govern security reference models across cloud, platform, application and data domains
• Embed secure-by-design principles across all architecture functions and delivery teams
• Partner with Security leadership to ensure operational alignment and risk integration
• Influence product development lifecycles through strategic threat modelling and architecture guidance
• Lead SEEK’s security pillar in the Technology Health Framework, setting metrics and accountability
• Support compliance, audit, and control frameworks by translating security maturity targets into actionable designs
• Represent SEEK externally and bring in leading insights from industry and regulatory landscapes

The Opportunity

You’ll be a senior leader within SEEK’s Platform Architecture domain, working alongside a passionate team of specialists who cover cloud, infrastructure, employee tech, and security. As part of SEEK’s broader Architecture function, you’ll collaborate closely with peers across Customer, Enterprise, Data & AI, Growth and Architecture Practices, ensuring consistency and alignment across SEEK’s diverse technology environment.

This is a rare opportunity to influence security outcomes at both strategic and design levels—shaping how SEEK protects, scales and innovates across APAC.

What We’re Looking For

• Expertise in designing and governing enterprise-wide security architectures across multi-cloud, data and application landscapes
• Ability to translate evolving risks and regulatory requirements into strategic security designs and controls
• Comfortable leading from the centre—partnering with product, architecture, engineering, risk, and security stakeholders
• Deep understanding of secure design patterns, cloud-native security (esp. AWS), and secure software development practices
• Demonstrated ability to uplift maturity through clear roadmaps, pragmatic guidance and cross-functional influence
• Experience driving alignment in federated environments, balancing innovation, speed, and security
