Job Description - SMSF Client Manager - Easy Super

Working Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm AEST, with an hours break.

About the Role:
As a Senior Client Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of SMSF clients, manage a small team of accountants, and ensure accurate, timely compliance in line with regulatory requirements. You will also provide technical guidance, build strong client relationships, and contribute to the ongoing growth and improvement of our SMSF service offering.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee a portfolio of SMSF clients end-to-end, ensuring lodgement deadlines and compliance obligations are met
Confidently handle complex SMSF structures including property investments, LRBAs, and cryptocurrency holdings
Review SMSF financial statements, tax returns, and audit documentation
Lead and mentor a team of SMSF accountants, providing training, support, and performance management
Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing proactive communication and advice
Stay up to date with changes in SMSF legislation and regulatory frameworks
Collaborate with internal teams to improve systems, processes, and client experience
Assist in onboarding new clients and supporting business development efforts where required
About You:
Minimum 5+ years experience in SMSF accounting and compliance within Public Practice
In-depth knowledge of SMSF legislation, compliance, and reporting requirements
Proven experience managing client relationships and leading teams
CA/CPA qualified (or near completion)
Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills
Experience using SMSF software such as Class or BGL 360
Comfortable working in a tech-forward, paperless environment and contributing to automation and workflow improvements using cloud-based and AI tools
A proactive mindset with a can-do attitude-ready to step in, solve problems, and lead by example in a fast-paced environment
