Job Description - Software Engineer - C++

We have an opening for an intermediate level C++ Software Engineer within our Robotics Group. Depending on your skill set, there are opportunities to contribute to core frameworks and infrastructure, robot interfacing and integration, perception, path planning, high level autonomy, and testing and verification tools.

Here’s What You’ll Do

    • Design, estimate and implement new software components.
    • Work with robotics domain experts to ensure high quality implementation and deployment of algorithms.
    • Be actively involved with the proposal and planning of new features.
    • Work on maintenance and improving software health.
    • Engage effectively with team members and other stakeholders.
    • Deliver high quality, high performance and well documented code.
    • Implement automated tests and develop manual testing procedures as appropriate.

How You’ll Succeed

    • 2 to 5 years of Software Engineering experience using modern C++ and Python.
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
    • A high level of self motivation.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

    • Familiarity with software development in a Linux environment.
    • Exposure to ROS, or other robotics frameworks
    • Experience with hardware interfacing
    • Experience working with git, Docker, CI tools
    • Experience with GPU and/or parallel programming.
    • Experience integrating with or operating UAVs
    • Exposure to modern software development practices (agile methodologies, continuous integration, etc.)
