Technology Portfolio Office Manager (Flexible Location)

The Opportunity

As we transform our technology operating model, the Technology Portfolio Office Manager will play a crucial role in strengthening governance, delivery execution and strategic alignment for our overall Technology portfolio across IT, OT and Digital. This role will ensure effective business engagement, roadmapping, decision frameworks, visibility and success measures to enhance how we identify, prioritise and deliver technology initiatives across ASP, ensuring a unified approach for our investments to consistently deliver measurable business value.

While not directly managing project or program delivery, the role plays a critical part in monitoring progress, identifying risks, and ensuring that technology initiatives align with business priorities and strategic objectives. This role will report to the Head of Technology Strategy, Portfolio & Architecture and will be a key member of the ASP Technology Leadership Team.

There is flexibility for this role to be based in Mount Waverley VIC, Western Port VIC, Mascot NSW or Port Kembla NSW.

What Will You Do?

You'll lead a unified portfolio function that drives governance excellence and strong engagement frameworks, coordinating business demand across ASP while establishing clear prioritisation frameworks for technology investments.

You'll develop effective roadmapping processes and standardise delivery methodologies, ensuring a structured “front door” for technology demand and consistent business engagement and project execution practices across the technology landscape.

You'll implement comprehensive performance monitoring, risk management, and compliance frameworks, providing transparency on portfolio health while ensuring governance standards are maintained across all technology initiatives.

More About You

Supported by a tertiary qualification (e.g. business, technology or project management) and your experience in leading technology delivery or portfolio management, you will be able to demonstrate:

• Experience leading complex project portfolios and delivery teams
• A track record in implementing delivery methodologies and governance frameworks
• A strategic perspective, anticipating challenges and opportunities and make informed decisions
• Effective use of strategic influence to achieve impactful outcomes, building strong relationships and driving organisational success.
• A proven ability to engage, lead and influence others regardless of reporting line, including at an executive level
• Experience in business relationship management functions
• Change management and stakeholder engagement experience
• A proven ability to engage and influence others including at an executive level
