Role Overview: 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Repairs and Maintenance Lead - Fuels. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of fuel system maintenance, ensuring the integrity, safety, and efficiency of our fuel infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies for fuel stations, storage facilities, terminals, and related equipment.
• Establish and enforce safety protocols to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
• Appoint, monitor, and supervise subcontractors involved in maintenance, renovations, and general upgrades, ensuring adherence to specified work orders.
• Conduct regular review and assessments to identify potential issues and develop proactive maintenance plans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise fuel system performance and minimize downtime.
• Manage budgets, resources, and vendor relationships to support maintenance activities effectively.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage the timely completion of critical maintenance tasks within the region, maintaining a 24/7 availability for urgent matters.
• Troubleshoot and swiftly escalate any delays or issues encountered during the execution of work orders.
• Utilize United's CMMS to accurately capture and report all relevant maintenance data.
• Maintain a strong focus on Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S) to foster a safe working environment across all sites.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Excellent leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills.
• Degree qualified in Engineering, Mechanical, or minimum of 5 years leading repairs and maintenance works. 
• Proven experience in fuel systems either construction and/or repairs and maintenance.
• Previous exposure to the petroleum and convenience retail industries is highly advantageous.
• Strong technical expertise in fuel storage, distribution, and handling systems.
• Familiarity with relevant state and federal legislations and standards
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
• Willingness to be on call after hours and Saturday mornings, demonstrating commitment to ensuring uninterrupted facility operations.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, sustainability, and operational excellence.
