  • Base Salary $127,436 - $151,328 + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

The Healthy Brain Ageing program in the School of Psychology guided by Professor Sharon Naismith, is seeking a Level B Research Fellow in Sleep Psychology to contribute to a multidisciplinary research program investigating the bidirectional associations between sleep and ageing. This role sits within a clinical and translational research environment and will focus on understanding how sleep disruption contributes to cognitive decline and dementia risk, and how changes in the ageing brain alter sleep physiology. • lead and support data analysis relating to sleep physiology, ageing and cognitive outcomes

  • prepare high-quality research outputs including peer-reviewed publications and reports

  • support the translation of research findings into clinical and applied contexts

  • contribute to grant applications and reporting requirements

  • postdoctoral research experience in sleep research, ageing, or neurodegenerative disease

  • demonstrated experience with polysomnography and/or advanced sleep analysis techniques

  • experience working with neuroimaging and/or blood-based biomarker data

  • a strong publication record relative to opportunity in peer-reviewed journals

  • demonstrated capacity to contribute to collaborative, multidisciplinary research programs.
