Your Role  
Joining as a Reserving Actuary Specialist in our Intermediated Insurance Australia (IIA) Reserving team focused on our CGU brand, you’ll play a key role in enabling the team’s purpose to support better strategic decisions through technical analysis of past experience and current trends to create insights into the future. 

As a Reserving Actuary Specialist, you’ll drive change by re-defining processes and support IIA in modelling and advising on the valuation of insurance liabilities and risk-based capital. 

This role will focus on Commercial Liability and will require strong communication, including the ability to discuss technical concepts simply and influence key decision makers. 

This is a permanent, full-time role and we welcome applicants from all major cities in Australia.

 
About You 

Significant experience in the analysis of complex data within the General Insurance market and within Actuarial roles. 

Practical experience in Reserving, ideally long-tail portfolio’s (preferred) 

Experience using analytical software such as SAS, Excel, R, SQL or Python 

Great communication with experience mentoring and coaching teammates.
