Cradle Mountain Hotel is nestled in the alpine woodlands at the northern end of the breathtaking Cradle Mountain – Lake St Clair National Park. This wonderful escape showcases the absolute best this region has to offer with warm and welcoming hospitality, sensational local food and wine, indulgent spa facilities and breathtaking scenery. Located approximately two hours from Launceston and four hours from Hobart, our 60 room hotel also incorporates the award-winning Altitude restaurant and stunning Cradle Mountain Wilderness Gallery.

What you’ll do:

We are seeking an experienced Hospitality professional to join our team as Restaurant Manager at Cradle Mountain Hotel. Reporting to the General Manager, we’re looking for someone who is committed to inspiring our guests and creating an unforgettable experience. In this role you will oversee Altitude Restaurant and Lounge Bar.

You'll use your energy, experience and creativity to help refresh the identity of our Restaurant and Bar. You will lead and develop our Food & Beverage team to elevate the offering and service.

Please note: Cradle Mountain Hotel is NOT in an eligible location to be counted towards WHM visa holder days

What you’ll bring:  

• 2+ years management experience in food and beverage (multi-venue experience a bonus) 
• A reputation for providing excellent customer service, engaging in great conversations with our guests. 
• A vibrant attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a busy team. 
• Ability and passion to build the skills and knowledge of our team through great training, coaching and mentoring. 
• Strong financial and inventory management.
• Knowledge of contemporary food and service trends and culinary styles.  
• Broad knowledge of wine varieties and appropriate food and wine combinations.
• Experience living and working in a remote location preferred but not essential.
