Restoration Technician

Our client is experiencing a high volume of work and is seeking a Restoration Technician to help with various restoration tasks across Sydney. You will be working for a leading organisation based in one of Sydney’s most accessible suburbs.
 

Our client is leading Insurance Builder in property restoration, specializing in fire, water, smoke, and mould damage repairs. With a strong focus on customer satisfaction, safety, and ongoing improvement. This is a permanent role with long-term career opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough on-site assessments of insured properties to determine the extent of the damage.
• Prepare detailed causation reports, scopes of work, and quotes regarding restoration tasks.
• Independently carry out restoration tasks, including localised drying, fire/smoke cleanup, and mould remediation.
• Set up and monitor restoration equipment, ensuring efficient operation.
• Document each phase of the restoration process using inhouse systems, and maintaining comprehensive records.
• Manage ongoing claims related to restoration work, keeping clients updated throughout the process.
• Perform minor water extraction, drying, odour removal, and cleaning for, isolated areas.
• Conduct mould remediation in contained spaces, using appropriate PPE and following safety protocols.
• Handle smoke and fire damage cleaning for localised areas, ensuring odour control and sanitisation.
• Collaborate with assessors, repair supervisors, and claims consultants as needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain compliance with WHS regulations.

Required skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in customer service and strong time management skills.
• Motivation to achieve results and problem-solve issues that arise on-site.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Trade qualification or tertiary education in Restoration is preferred.
• Experience in the insurance industry is advantageous.
• Valid OH&S Induction Construction Cards and relevant restoration qualifications (IICRC Accreditation or equivalent).
• Willingness to respond to service calls during after-hours and inclement weather.
• Must possess a valid driver's licence.
