The Role

As a professional Restoration Technician, you will utilise your exceptional people and organisational skills to provide restoration services to clients whose properties have been damaged by extenuating circumstances such as fire, flood, or malicious damage.

 

Duties will include cleaning, deodorising, and restoring carpets, furniture, and other building contents on site, as well as cataloguing and transporting items when onsite restoration is not possible. You will receive on-going extensive training and support to guarantee your success and professional development. This is a fantastic opportunity to enter a successful business and make your mark.

 

Locations:

Sydney (Wetherill Park), Canberra, and Dubbo

 

Key Duties

  • Attend, assess, and scope water damage, fire damage, and mould jobs
  • Perform all areas of mitigation and restoration works as required, including but not limited to equipment installation and monitoring, cleaning, some demolition where required, packing/unpacking, waste disposal
  • Use commercial grade chemicals, equipment, and hand-tools with a safety-first mindset
  • Provide peace of mind to clients in stressful situations
  • Liaise with internal office staff, project managers, and external clients
  • Prepare and present accurate damage, inspection and inventory lists reports for insurers
  • Complete all necessary risk assessments and job documentation
  • Work a rotating on-call roster, including after-hours shifts
  • Proactively maintain and care for allocated vehicle and other company properties at all times

Experience is nice but we are after candidates with the right attitude, excellent work ethics, hungry for success, and who wants to grow with us. Do you have proven examples of demonstrating drive and high energy? Are you extremely motivated and can think outside the box? Are you a team player and take pride in your work and presentation? The following selection criteria is important and we are happy to teach you and mentor you along the way.

  • White Card
  • Working With Children Check or can obtain
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history
  • Previous experience in hands-on roles and working with tools (not essential but desirable)
  • Desire to go above and beyond to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Professionalism, proactive nature and excellent work ethics
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a high-pressure environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Physical fitness
  • Literacy and numeracy skills
  • Technology savvy with intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Rights to work in Australia and be prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical examination and criminal background check.
