Retail Buyer - Professional Development Opportunities

This excellent opportunity will be offered on a Permanent Full-Time basis at 38 hours a week.

The successful candidate must have:

• Certificate IV, Diploma or higher qualifications in Business, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising or a related field.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a buying role within a retail environment preferred.
• Exceptional verbal & written communication skills. 
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools.
• Intermediate to advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to work independently and within deadlines
• Attention to detail and strong problem solving skills
• The right to work in Australia
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Responsibilities include:

• Monitoring sales data and inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock.
• Conduct competitor analysis to understand market dynamics and position our product offerings competitively.
• Analyzing trade, manufacturer, and market insights to stay updated on market conditions
• Negotiating purchase, promotion and supply arrangements with suppliers
• Evaluate supplier options according to prices, quality and determine the best choice
• Designing and implementing pricing
• Liaising with management on long-term planning and sales promotions
• Establishing working plans according to seasonal and budgetary requirements
• Working with the new product development team to introduce new products and begin the development process

Attend trade shows and review market research to gather insights that support buying decisions.
