Retail Manager - Shopping Centres

Property Network of Australia is currently seeking an experienced neighbourhood Shopping Centre manager or centre based retail manager / lease admin specialistor agency side retail property manager to take on a newly created role within the Centre Management team as a Retail Manager/ Centre Manager  at a busy Brisbane Shopping Centre.

Supporting the Centre Manager, you will be responsible for a broad range of Retailer engagement tasks, focused on leasing strategies at the centre and maintaining the excellent retailer relationships already in place at this vibrant strong centre. You will be sourcing leasing leads and assisting in the associated lease administration documentation, including looking after assignments. You’ll understand what makes a centre tick. You’ll work with the Finance Manager and the Operations Manager in many tenant relationship communications.  

Key Duties & Responsiblities:
 

• Responsible for the ongoing retail management of the Centre including the management of critical retailer requirements.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing tenants to enable a positive occupancy experience to encourage lease renewals.
• Provide administrative and leasing support for Centre Management, in particular the Centre Manager and Finance Manager.
• Provide regular leasing updates to the Centre Manager as required.
• Assist Centre Manager and Finance Manager with the preparation/compilation of the monthly management report in relation to the leasing, tenancy matters and other commercial considerations components of the report.
• Assist CML Executive with Casual Leasing enquiries and bookings.
• Act as a point of contact for tenants when addressing occupancy enquiries, concerns, and feedback.
• Assist the Finance and Administration Team in monthly debt management.
• Have a deep understanding of the Centre’s key performance indicators including monthly and annual sales of retailers and any associated commodity group and precinct trends.
• Understanding of performance in comparison to industry and regional benchmarks.

The Candidate:

We are looking for individuals with experience in retail property, commercial leasing or property management, with the successful candidate will most likely having current experience as a Retail/Centre Manager, Lease Administrator/Assistant or a Retail Administration Manager or Retail Commercial Property Manager 

• Previous experience in retail, commercial leasing or property management is desirable.
• An understanding of and compliance with lease-related and other legal requirements, policies/procedures and legislation, in particular the QLD Retail Leases Act.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
