About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Retail Sourcing Manager to join our national retail team.

Reporting into the Retail leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies across a diverse retail portfolio that generates approximately $100M in annual revenue. Supporting multiple retail channels including convenience stores, taverns, vending, digital retail and unattended retail solutions, this role plays a key part in driving sales growth, improving margin performance, enhancing customer experience and creating long-term supplier value.

Working collaboratively with retail, operations, supply chain, finance, commercial, legal and supplier partners, you will identify opportunities to optimise range, pricing, supplier performance and commercial outcomes while ensuring consistency and compliance across the national portfolio.

This is a national role with occasional interstate travel required.

Key responsibilities include:

• Procurement & Sourcing Strategy: Develop and execute sourcing and category strategies across the retail portfolio, including supplier engagement, range management, pricing, market analysis and sourcing initiatives that drive sales growth, margin improvement and customer satisfaction.
• Commercial Performance & Analysis: Monitor sourcing performance, analyse commercial data and provide insights, recommendations and business cases that support decision-making, supplier performance and profitable growth.
• Supplier & Stakeholder Management: Build strong supplier and stakeholder relationships, negotiate commercial outcomes and collaborate across the business to deliver sourcing strategies, operational excellence and sustainable value.
• Pricing, Contracts & Commercial Governance: Manage pricing, supplier agreements, cost movements and commercial governance processes to maximise profitability, maintain compliance and mitigate business risk.
• Promotions & Merchandising: Support promotional planning, merchandising initiatives and retail execution standards that enhance customer engagement, sales performance and consistency across the network.
• Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Identify emerging trends, sourcing opportunities and innovative retail solutions while driving continuous improvement across procurement, supplier management and commercial processes.
• Compliance & Governance: Ensure all sourcing activities are conducted in accordance with procurement policies, governance requirements, ethical sourcing standards and safety expectations while maintaining accurate documentation and reporting.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in retail sourcing, buying, merchandising, procurement, FMCG, convenience, grocery or a similar commercial retail environment.
• Demonstrated experience developing and executing category or sourcing strategies.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse sales, margin, pricing, inventory and supplier performance data.
• Experience negotiating commercial agreements and managing supplier relationships.
• Proven ability to identify cost savings, margin improvement and growth opportunities.
• Experience working cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, finance, commercial and supplier partners.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant retail, procurement or reporting systems.

Desirable

• Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Procurement, Supply Chain, Retail Management, Marketing or a related discipline.
• Professional training or certification in procurement, sourcing, negotiation, project management or data analytics.
• Experience within FMCG, convenience, vending or multi-site retail operations.
