The Opportunity:

Are you an organised people-person who loves creating a welcoming environment and helping things run smoothly behind the scenes? Rise 96.5 is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Administration Assistant to join our ministry team in Brisbane. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a busy office environment, and is passionate about supporting a mission-driven organisation.

This is a part-time position working a minimum of 30 hours, with flexibility across 4-5 days per week at our Taringa studio. There is a possibility of full-time hours being considered for appropriate candidates where requested.

About the Role

As the first point of contact for visitors, callers, supporters, and stakeholders, you'll play an important role in creating positive experiences that reflect our mission and values. This position combines reception, administration and office coordination, helping ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of our ministry.

Key responsibilities

• Welcoming visitors, taking deliveries and managing front desk reception services.


• Answering incoming calls and emails and directing enquiries appropriately.


• Coordinating monthly staff meetings and catering arrangements.


• Ordering and maintaining office, kitchen and stationery supplies.


• Supporting the upkeep and presentation of communal areas.


• Processing petty cash, filing, and general administrative tasks.


• Coordinate property maintenance and contractor engagement.


• Help facilitate new staff induction activities.


• Coordinate staff training requirements.

About You

• A genuine passion for the mission and values of the organisation.

• At least 12 months' experience in a receptionist, administration, or customer service role.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


• Outstanding interpersonal skills and a welcoming, professional manner.


• Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.


• Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.


• An eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.
