Your opportunity:
The Risk and Resilience Group are currently seeking an experienced Risk and Compliance Specialist for a 12 month parental leave backfill, to provide senior expertise to guide the ongoing development, enhancement and implementation of the Enterprise Risk and Compliance frameworks and practices across the business This role forms part of part of the Risk and Compliance team, responsible for design, development and implementation of the enterprise risk and compliance functions, frameworks and underpinning improvement strategies to minimise risk to business operations and customer services.
In this integral role, you will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to support enhancement of risk and compliance functions and business capabilities. You will support the business maturing it’s first and second line risk and compliance processes and control suite. Your expertise will guide our workforce, delivery partners and stakeholders to improve Urban Utilities management of risk and compliance obligations.
About you:
Demonstrated experience leading the appraisal, development and uplift of risk and compliance management systems, strategies, planning and capabilities of business areas .
Specialist knowledge and understanding of enterprise risk and compliance frameworks, processes and legislative requirements.
Demonstrated experience with the provision of strategic and tactical analysis, planning and facilitation of risk assessments to guide risk based decision making at all levels of the business.
Demonstrated experience in partnering with business areas to enhance risk and compliance management and improve business capability and risk literacy.
Experience designing, developing & delivering risk and compliance maturity improvement programs and processes.
Demonstrated experience in the development and delivery of risk insight and trend reporting, with strong analytical skills.
Specialist knowledge and capability in the use and maintenance of Governance Risk and Compliance Systems.
Strong, collaborative style customer-focused mindset to deliver fit for purpose business outcomes.
It would be desirable but not essential if you have:
Tertiary qualifications in business, accounting or risk management or graduate qualification in a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience in a similar role within critical infrastructure sectors.
As part of this role, you may be required to participate in Urban Utilities Emergency Management arrangements in an after-hours / on call capacity in line with your skillset. This additional work will be in accordance with your employment contract
