About your new role

We’re looking for an experienced Roasting Assistant to join our Melbourne roasting team on a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract to support in delivering consistent, high-quality coffee that meets Allpress Espresso’s production requirements.

Working closely with the Roasting Lead, the Roasting Assistant plays a hands-on role across the roastery - supporting everything from roasting and production through to packing and dispatch. It’s a great opportunity to build your skills, learn the craft of roasting, and grow your product knowledge as part of a team that takes pride in consistently great coffee.

A day in the life

• Support roasting and production to deliver coffee we're proud of


• Help keep things moving by meeting production targets and maintaining quality standards


• Take care of the roastery through day-to-day upkeep and equipment care


• Assist with packing and preparing orders ready for our customers


• Pitch in with stock and help keep the space organised and running smoothly


• Work closely with the team to keep everything flowing and support each other day to day

About you

Ideally, you’ll come from a production, food manufacturing, hospitality or warehousing background and have an interest in specialty coffee. You'll be someone who:

• Has strong attention to detail and a focus on quality and consistency


• Is confident working to processes and production schedules in a fast-paced environment


• Brings a positive, collaborative approach and clear communication skills

A forklift licence or exposure to coffee roasting is a bonus.
