Job Description - Robot Operator - Team Lead

Location: Turrella, NSW, Australia
Employment Type: Permanent
Reporting To: Operations Manager - Manufacturing

Salary: $35 - $40PH + Super
Work Hours: Full-time, 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday

About the Role

My client is currently seeking a seeking a dedicated and skilled Robot Operator (Team Leader) passionate about cutting-edge technology and manufacturing excellence. This role is crucial in my clients manufacturing process, focusing on operating and maintaining robotic machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate robotic machinery, including fault finding and troubleshooting.
  • Manage on-the-line raw materials to meet work order requirements, ensuring a seamless production flow.
  • Record and report production data accurately.
  • Adhere to WHS (Work Health and Safety) policies and procedures at all times.
  • Set up machines, load raw materials, and safely operate packaging and labelling processes.
  • Batch products according to the production schedule, meeting all quality specifications, and promptly report any out-of-spec materials or batches.
  • Maintain clear communication and regular contact with supervisors, production, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth production operations.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, with a focus on heavy manufacturing at a demonstrated team leader level position.
  • Production or mechanical background.
  • ERP knowledge with good computer proficiency.
  • Ability to undertake heavy lifting, up to 20kg, as part of the job.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong team management skills.
  • Punctuality and reliability are essential for this role.
  • Familiarity with working with robotic sequences and proficiency in using HMI (Human-Machine Interface).
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
  • Previous machine operating experience is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with safety and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work as part of a high-performing team.
  • Must be available to work all five days of the week.
