Rose Bay, NSW Part Time Nanny ref LLRB197

A warm and friendly family in Rose Bay are seeking a bubbly, outgoing, and confident nanny to care for their two happy and energetic girls aged 2 and 3 years.

An ideal nanny will be experienced, confident, kind, caring and nurturing. You will need to be mature, outgoing, energetic, and able to plan and engage in age-appropriate activities that will assist in the children’s development and appetite to learn. You will need to have a genuine interest in caring for the girls.

A childcare qualification and experience working with young toddlers/pre-schoolers is highly advantageous for this role.

You will be a nanny that is highly organised, responsible, able to stick to routines and happy to help with household duties and preparation of meals.

The eldest child attends day care so on the Thursday and Friday the care is mostly for the youngest and then just drop off/pick up of the eldest from her preschool in Vaucluse.

The carer’s responsibilities for this role will be as follows –

• To care for the children
• Follow the children’s routines
• Drive the eldest to/from day care (Vaucluse)
• Play and engage in age-appropriate activities to assist in the children’s development
• Take the children out on outings, to activities, and for walks to the local parks/playground. Attend music and organised toddler sports programmes.
• Assist with some light household duties i.e. clearing up after meals and tidying toys
• Laundry for the children
• Able to cook healthy nutritious meals for the children

Long Term / Permanent Contract

Pay: from $40 per hour plus entitlements depending on experience 

The days and normal hours are:- 2 days – 20+ hours per week

Thursday 7:30am – 5:30pm (10 hours)

Friday 7:30am – 5:30pm (10 hours)

Monday (or Tuesday) afternoons 2pm – 5:30pm would be a bonus if the nanny is available.

The family’s expectations from their nanny are –

• Must have a minimum of 3 years nanny/childcare experience
• Have a current first aid certificate
• Have a current Working with Children Check
• Display strong communication skills and speak English
• Fit, active, and healthy
• Enjoy cooking healthy and nutritious meals
• Full drivers licence, clean driving record, and be a confident driver (to drive family vehicle)
