Role Summary
Reporting to the Sales Manager - Collision, the Area Manager - Collision plays a pivotal role in delivering Capricorn's National Collision Strategy. This role is responsible for executing a clear, accountable action plan in partnership with key internal and external stakeholders, driving sustainable Membership and sales growth across a defined region or state.
You will focus on retaining and growing existing Collision Members while identifying and developing new business opportunities. Building strong, trusted relationships across Capricorn's Membership base, supply chain partners, insurers, industry associations and internal teams is critical to success in this role.
This is a work-from-home role that offers autonomy and flexibility, balanced with accountability and results. Frequent intrastate and interstate travel is required, with a significant amount of time spent on the road engaging directly with members and industry stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities & Capabilities • Adapt quickly to changing business and market conditions, developing targeted action plans that leverage organisational strengths and address opportunities. • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Collision and Panel Repair Industry, including Insurers, Suppliers, Collision Repair networks and MSOs. • Effectively manage competing priorities, deadlines and timeframes in a dynamic environment. • Apply sound problem-solving skills to support Members and deliver commercial outcomes. • Build and maintain strong relationships through high level interpersonal, customer engagement and communication skills. • Leverage strong sales capability, commercial acumen and business awareness to drive growth. • Negotiate confidently to achieve outcomes that balance member value and organisational objectives. • Communicate clearly and professionally at all levels, both internally and externally. • Work autonomously while actively sharing information and contributing to a collaborative team culture. • Maintain attention to detail while managing a mobile, self-directed workload.
Experience • Proven experience in sales, relationship management or high-level customer service (Collision or Panel Industry experience is highly regarded). • Demonstrated success in a similar role, ideally within a cooperative or member-based organisation. • Strong knowledge of the Panel and Collision repair segment, including:
oCurrent industry conditions and emerging trends
oKey industry sensitivities and success factors
oMajor industry participants and competitors.
Qualifications • Membership of a relevant professional or industry organisation (desirable). • Certificate in Sales or similar qualification (desirable). • Sound understanding of business and corporate legislation, particularly as it relates to cooperatives and the Trade Practices Act (desirable). • Current, valid Australian driver's licence (essential).
