Role Summary

The SEQ Officer will be instrumental in implementing and managing our safety, environmental, and quality programs. This vital role ensures all operations are in compliance with both governmental regulations and our own stringent standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and oversee company policies and procedures related to safety, environmental compliance, and quality assurance.
• Perform regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
• Deliver training and support to staff on SEQ policies and best practices.
• Investigate incidents and non-conformances, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
• Maintain and prepare reports on SEQ performance and compliance.
• Work collaboratively with management and external stakeholders to enhance SEQ outcomes.
• Stay updated with relevant SEQ legislation and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Quality Management, or a related field.
• Preferred relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, ISO 9001, ISO 14001.
• At least 7 years experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction or civil engineering sectors.
• Comprehensive knowledge of local and national environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong leadership and influencing skills.
