Their North Ryde Manufacturing site is central to this mission, and they are seeking a passionate Safety Advisor to join their team.
About the Role You will play a crucial role in promoting safety, health, and environmental initiatives at their state of art site here in Sydney. Reporting to the Safety Manager you will collaborate with the safety team and spearhead key safety projects.
Key Responsibilities - Develop and implement a sustainable risk management framework in line with global standards and best practices.
- Oversee the Contractor Management system, enhancing safety and efficiency, and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Identify and act on opportunities for improvement in Industrial Hygiene and Occupational Health programs.
- Assess and enhance Chemical Management practices to minimize pollution risks.
- Develop and deliver SHE-related training programs to ensure a knowledgeable and safety-conscious workforce.
Background experience requirements - A tertiary or formally recognised qualification in occupational health and safety, with at least a WHS Cert IV and Diploma.
- A strong understanding of SHE legislation, industry practices, and company standards.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and people skills across all organisational levels.
- Experience in developing and facilitating SHE-related training programs.
- High motivation, energy, and resourcefulness, with strong self-awareness of strengths, opportunities, and role responsibilities.
