Sales Consultant – Tiles Expo - Mandurah

About us

At Tiles Expo we‘re driven by our purpose to deliver exceptional customer service. We are also a Tile Boutique licenced dealer. 

One of Perth’s largest tile retailers, we are a family run business with a staffing level of over 60 and four locations plus a purpose built warehouse.

We service builders, owner builder, do-it-yourself customers, wholesale clients, interior designers and we have an extensive Commercial Division that look after architects and large commercial projects as well as a clearance centre. We have been in business for over 40 years! 

About the position

The position of Sales Consultant is primarily responsible for looking after our customers by helping them coordinate their designs and layouts for all their tiling needs.  If you have a qualification in Interior Design this will be well regarded as will experience in these areas. To be part of our team you will require exceptional attention to detail, ability to prioritise and have the confidence to make decisions for the benefit of the company and our customers.

To be successful, you will have a strong background in customer service, team work, multi-tasking and working in a fast paced environment. You will need to be proficient in Microsoft Word, data entry and Outlook, and have great written and verbal communication.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service via phone, email and face to face
  • Liaise with clients, builders and trades
  • Provide quotations, selections and orders to our Clients within required time frame
  • Review and follow up estimates

We are looking for candidates that possess a combination of the below experience, skills and competencies:

  • Experience working in sales within the building industry
  • Experience using Microsoft Office
  • Confident, energetic and self-motivated individual
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience in an order processing role
  • A high degree of accuracy in data entry
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A high level of numeracy skills 
  • Strong organisational skills and dedication to follow through
  • Qualification or interest in design
