Job Description - Sales Coordinator/Representative / Wholesales Rep - QLD (On Road/Office Hybrid)

HEQS Wholesales Group is a market leader in the Furniture and White Goods Appliances industry and holds an established but growing position in the sector. We are an Australian family-owned and operated business, established for over 20 years, experiencing an exciting period of growth.

HEQS imports and wholesales over 1000 SKUs into our NSW/QLD/VIC warehouse and are constantly bringing new products to market. While we are well established in Sydney/Melbourne Metro, we are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, and self-motivated sales representative to grow our business in Brisbane Metro as well as the Northern and Western regional areas of QLD. The primary focus will be on retail customers in the furniture and appliance sector, as well as wholesalers/distributors in the hospitality/accommodations sector.

About You:

We’re on the lookout for an ambitious sales professional with a drive to succeed. Join our QLD on-road Sales Team, focusing on the growing Greater Brisbane area as well as the extended North and West regions, you will report directly to the National Sales Manager and work alongside our existing Sales Representative across the country.

Critical will be your ability and hunger to win market share and grow/strengthen relationships across the state.

The role encompasses: 

  • visiting established and potential new customers; 
  • selling in new product ranges; 
  • backfilling gaps in customer ranging, taking orders and driving customer traffic to our website; 
  • occasionally merchandising stores; 
  • conducting product education and training; 
  • completing call reporting; 
  • contributing to New Product Development idea generation and communicating with key decision makers to win new business. 
  • Some country travel will be required.

The package includes a salary based on experience, a fully maintained company car, superannuation, a company laptop, and a mobile phone. These items are also available outside work hours for personal use, providing additional salary package benefits. There is also the potential for performance-based bonuses.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum of 2 years of selling experience as an on-road sales representative in retail and wholesale channels.
  • Experience selling a large number of SKUs across a broad range of customers is desired.
  • Highly enthusiastic and determined to grow and improve the existing business.
  • Learn quickly and can adapt to the company’s operating methods & systems.
  • A desire to provide exemplary service to customers in a manner that achieves sales growth.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills. Good computer and data entry skills.
