The role: 

CAPS Australia is seeking a proactive, customer focused professional person to join our Newcastle based team as a Sales Engineer. You will be responsible for sales and technical inquiries on a comprehensive range of compressor, power generators and renewables.

The sales territory will cover Newcastle itself and occasional travel to clients within the region engaging with the Construction, Design, Engineering, Health, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mining, and related sectors.

Key responsibilities for this role:

  • Revenue generation through the sales of capital equipment.
  • Business development through market and competitor analysis.
  • Working with the branch team to grow revenue for the branch as whole in complete sales, wholesale sales, and hire revenue.
  • Modify existing practices wherever necessary to improve results and customer service levels.

Suitable Candidates must have the following:

  • Technical sales background
  • Experience selling Capital or Engineering Equipment into the above sectors
  • Trade or Engineering Qualifications highly desirable
  • Self-motivated
  • Self-disciplined to work autonomously
