Job Description

The Sales Executive is responsible for maximising total revenue for the hotel across the Conference & Events market segments, with a strong focus on new business acquisition. You will build and maintain strong relationships with conference bookers, ensuring every event exceeds expectations. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Handle incoming event leads professionally through all channels.  
  • Provide detailed conference and events proposals covering venue, function, menu and accommodation costs ensuring revenue is maximized. 
  • Coordinate and host familiarisation and site inspections. 
  • Assist in coordinating sales forecasts and provide suggestions on strategies to achieve targets. 
  • Update and maintain accurate account profiles in the database systems. 
  • Prepare and deliver event information to event coordinators, ensuring accuracy of information. 
  • Ensure success in delivering customer events to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business. 

Qualifications

 

  • 1 to 2 years’ experience within the Conference & Events sector in a sales role. 
  • Strong focus and passion for hotel operations and delivering exceptional customer experiences. 
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrated initiative in a dynamic environment. 
  • Confident and articulate communication, negotiation, relationship and networking skills. 
  • Time management skills with the ability to multitask. 
  • Australian working rights required, sponsorship not offered.
