Job Description
Lead the charge in driving new business and acquisition efforts for The Australian Financial Review for Business as our new Sales Manager, Data & Subscriptions. Your primary focus will be hands-on sales, driving new revenue through corporate subscriptions and premium data and content feeds used to power AI workflows and tooling. In this dynamic role, you will also oversee and mentor a Sales Executive to collective success, keeping the team focused on hitting annual new business growth targets.
Day to day you will:
Actively prospect and close new B2B accounts, focusing on data and content integrations for AI tools.
Sell and negotiate Enterprise corporate subscription licenses to new clients.
Manage day-to-day activity and assist your Sales Executive in hitting their individual targets.
Track the sales pipeline and provide straightforward performance updates to B2B leadership.
Collaborate with marketing teams to capitalise on events and lead generation initiatives.
What you'll bring:
Prior B2B sales experience with a proven track record in Subscriptions, SaaS, or Content/Data Licensing.
Strong pipeline generation and closing skills, with experience winning new B2B accounts.
A tech-curious mindset and a baseline understanding of content and data integration into AI tools.
The capability to manage and guide a direct report to keep sales activities on track.
Proficiency with Salesforce and day-to-day sales reporting.
