Job Description - Sales Trust Accountant/Bookkeeper

Noakes Nickolas is an experienced boutique real estate office working across all suburbs in Adelaide with passion and pride. 

 

THE POSITION

 

As a result of exceptional growth, we’re looking for the right candidate to fill the role of a Sales Trust Accountant/Bookkeeper for Noakes Nickolas; system training will be provided.

 

You’ll be located within a stunning modern office in Ashford. This is a unique opportunity to get your foot in the door of the real estate industry, and be a vital part of the Noakes Nickolas growth journey.

 

The Sales Trust Accountant/Bookkeeper plays a vital role in supporting the finance functions of the agency. This role involves Administer and manage real estate sales trust account, maintain accurate up to date financial records including accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank statements. In addition, you will help maintain agents Debit Credit ledger, and other book keeping tasks.

  

Responsibilities:

-Administer and manage real estate sales trust account 

-Accurate record keeping and effective trust account compliance. 

-Follow company procedures to ensure compliance with accounting and other legislative requirements.

-Maintain accurate up to date financial records including accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank statements.

-Process and record financial transactions including journal entries 

-Prepare and process fortnightly payroll for salaried staff and commission-based agents per the Real Estate Industry Award 2020

-Help maintain agents Debit Credit ledger 

 

The ideal candidate for this role will demonstrate:

-Attention to detail and ability to multitask

-Positive attitude and forward thinking

-Work along our Finance Manager, Marketing, sales support staff as well as our agents in a vibrant young friendly and fun work environment. 

-Ability to work in a high-pressure environment in some occasions.

 

Qualifications:

-Degree in accounting, bookkeeping or a related field

-Proficiency in Xero

-Knowledge or experience working in the Real Estate industry (but not essential)

-Desired knowledge in real estate CRM software Agent Box but not essential

-Desired knowledge in HR and payroll platform Employment Hero but not essential 

-Desired knowledge in Real Estate Industry Award 2020 but not essential
