Job Description - SAP Finance Lead

SAP Finance Lead

Location: Sydney CBD, NSW
Contract Duration: 12 months

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP Finance Lead to join a major transformation program. This senior role involves leading the Record-to-Report (RTR) stream and driving the design and implementation of Finance, Controlling, and Treasury modules in SAP S/4HANA.

What You'll Do

Lead Fit-to-Standard workshops and make key design decisions for Finance, COPA, Group Reporting, and organisational structure.
Mentor SMEs and recommend best-practice processes for daily operations, period-end closing, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Oversee data migration for master data and open balances from legacy systems.
Integrate Finance and Treasury with external systems (banking interfaces, payment gateways, ATO, POS, AR/AP platforms).
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into functional solutions.
Prepare and facilitate workshops, documentation, and training sessions.
Stay current with SAP innovations and best practices to enhance solution design.

Key Skills & Experience

Strong configuration experience across SAP Finance modules: GL, AR, AP, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Fixed Assets, Group Reporting, Management Accounting, Margin Analysis, Treasury.
Minimum 5 years' experience in SAP S/4HANA implementations and business transformation projects.
Integration experience with MM, SD, PP for sales and inventory valuation.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Ability to lead and mentor a small team of SAP analysts and consultants.
