Job Description - SAP Payroll Analyst

Initial contract to end DEC 26 for an SAP Payroll Analyst in Brisbane Your new company
An employer of choice, based in the Brisbane CBD, undertaking a large-scale Modern ERP transformation program and is seeking an experienced SAP Payroll Analyst to support the Payroll stream of its SAP S/4HANA implementation.
Your new role
You will play a key role in the design, build, testing, and deployment of the new HR/Payroll solution, working within the SAP Activate framework. This position is central to ensuring payroll processes are accurately captured, optimised, and successfully transitioned into the new environment.You will collaborate closely with payroll operations, HR, finance, and implementation partners to validate functional designs, support data migration, streamline workflows, and ensure compliance with Australian payroll legislation.
This is a hands-on, project-focused role suited to someone who thrives in complex environments, communicates confidently with diverse stakeholders, and is driven by delivering high-quality outcomes.
What you'll need to succeed
  • Minimum five years' SAP experience with strong payroll configuration skills across ECC (PY, PT, CATS, ESS, MSS) and related integrations.
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale HR/Payroll transformation or migration projects.
  • Strong understanding of payroll operations, outsourcing models, and system integration.
  • Ability to translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, and solution designs.
  • Demonstrated capability in analysing payroll processes, identifying inefficiencies, and driving improvements.
  • Experience validating functional designs, schemas, PCRs, wage types, and integration logic.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven experience working across virtual, cross-functional teams with strong documentation and reporting skills.
  • High EQ, strong problem-solving ability, and resilience in fast-paced, multi-stream program environments.
