Satcom Engineer (multiple positions)

The Role

As a Satcom Engineer, you will:

• Develop and maintain advanced satellite communication systems and networks, ensuring the seamless integration of hardware and software components
• Perform detailed analysis and troubleshooting to optimise satellite communication systems for peak performance and reliability
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers and project managers, to integrate new solutions and provide technical support
• Implement and uphold stringent security protocols, conducting regular assessments to protect sensitive information and communication channels
• Create and update comprehensive documentation for system designs, configurations, and operational procedures, ensuring accuracy and accessibility
• Conduct regular tests and updates to ensure the reliability and efficiency of satellite communication systems, implementing improvements as needed 

The Ideal Person

You excel in challenging technical roles and lead innovative projects. You have experience in satellite communications, including RF, link budgets, and modulation techniques.

Your hands-on skills with satellite hardware and software are complemented by strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. You thrive in team environments and have excellent communication skills. An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one is required.

An active NV1, NV2 or TSPV Security Clearance is required for this role. 
 
Salary / Rate

$125,000 - $155,000 plus superannuation
