The College is a co-ed, Christian school that is blessed with a spacious and modern campus. About the role

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate School Counsellor to join our staff team and support the wellbeing of our students.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide counselling and support to students across all year levels.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and leadership to support student wellbeing.
• Implement and oversee proactive wellbeing and mental health programs.
• Offer professional input into pastoral care initiatives consistent with Christian values.
• Maintain appropriate records and confidentiality in line with professional and school policies.

This part time (1 day per week) role is due to start as soon as is practicable.

• Relevant qualifications and/or experience in counselling
• Demonstrated experience in counselling children and young people.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students, staff, and parents.
• A commitment to the ethos and values of Christian education and a willingness to contribute to the spiritual life of the school.
• Experience in a school setting (desirable).
• Knowledge of child protection legislation and mandatory reporting requirements.
• Ability to design and deliver group programs addressing social and emotional wellbeing.
• Be a practising Christian, actively involved in their local church.
• Model a Christ-centred approach in both professional and personal life.
• Demonstrate a heart for young people and their holistic development.
