We are seeking an experienced Security Architect to support a high-impact government environment based onsite in Canberra.
Working within a highly secure and complex setting, you will contribute to the development of security architecture, policies and practices, ensuring solutions align with both current and emerging cyber security standards.
This is a 18 month contract role requiring NV2 or TSPV security clearance.
Requirements
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
Design and develop security architectures across current, transitional and future states
Define, validate and trace security requirements across systems and solutions
Assess solution designs against security frameworks, identifying risks and improvement opportunities
Conduct gap analysis between current and target architectures, providing risk-based recommendations
Provide expert advice on security considerations for solution implementation and change requests
Support governance processes, contributing to design approvals and stakeholder forums
Ensure alignment with organisational security strategies, policies and standards
Contribute to continuous improvement of security practices and architecture capability
What You’ll Bring
To be successful, you will bring:
Proven depth of experience in security architecture
Strong capability in information assurance and security risk management
Experience designing secure solutions across complex or enterprise environments
Ability to interpret and apply security frameworks, policies and standards
Strong analytical skills with experience in risk assessment, gap analysis and architecture design
Experience contributing to solution architecture and system design decisions
The ability to provide clear, expert advice to technical and non-technical stakeholders
A relevant qualification in Computer Science or a related discipline
