Security Engineer

We are partnering with a global, quantitative investment manager operating across all liquid asset classes.

This role offers the opportunity to work across a broad range of security technologies, contributing directly to the design, operation, and evolution of the firm’s security controls and infrastructure.

• Operate and maintain network security infrastructure, including firewalls, SASE, CASB, proxies, NAC, and cloud security controls
• Perform hands-on BAU changes and in-depth troubleshooting across security products in a 24/7 follow-the-sun environment
• Implement automated and scalable security solutions across hybrid, multi-cloud, and on-prem environments
• Work closely with IT, Cloud Services, and Engineering teams to integrate security into infrastructure and operations
• Contribute to the design, implementation, and enforcement of security policies and best practices
• Support network security architecture including segmentation, encryption, and secure remote access
• Identify and mitigate risks through analysis of logs, alerts, and vulnerabilities
• Position security as a business enabler, balancing protection with operational effectiveness

• 5+ years’ experience in network engineering and/or security
• Strong multi-vendor firewall experience and exposure to SASE, CASB, proxies, and L7 controls
• Solid understanding of systems, networking, and security engineering fundamentals
• Strong knowledge of network protocols across multiple layers
• Experience protecting data and assets at the network level
• Strong foundations in operating systems, cloud, and network engineering
• Hands-on experience with packet analysis tools such as tcpdump and Wireshark
• Understanding of offensive security from an adversary perspective
• Experience with security operations processes including monitoring, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, identity management, and vulnerability management
