The Roles

We are seeking a full-time Executive Assistant and a full-time Paralegal, both to commence in mid-2024. 

The ideal candidates will:-

• have recent experience working in personal injury law;
• be competent with Microsoft Office;
• be highly organised, display attention to detail and be blessed with good time management and typing skills;
• be good team players and be willing to go the extra mile for our clients and their teammates.

Experience in LawMaster practice management software (or similar) is an advantage but is not essential.

Executive Assistant

The successful applicant will be responsible for:-

• answering telephone and email inquiries;
• some reception duties;
• collecting mail and running errands;
• liaising with clients;
• transcribing digital dictation;
• managing diaries and scheduling appointments;
• undertaking general file management tasks such as liaising with insurers, Medicare, WorkCover and the like, arranging medico-legal reviews, undertaking searches, RTI requests, filing, scanning, photocopying, managing bring-ups/daily tasks, opening/archiving files, arranging couriers and providing other secretarial and office support as required.

Paralegal

The successful applicant will be responsible for:-

• assisting the lawyer with the efficient management of personal injuries files;
• liaising with clients, other parties, doctors and the like;
• drafting documents, including claim forms, court documents, briefs and simple correspondence;
• some digital dictation;
• managing diaries and scheduling appointments; and
• undertaking general file management tasks.
