Senior Accountant

We are an Accounting firm in Silverwater with a team of Accountants and Admin staff who insist on a fun and ambient work environment.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of business tax returns with a broad range of entities including companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSF's
• Preparation of activity statements (BAS and IAS)
• Preparation of individual tax returns, payroll tax returns and FBT returns
• Preparation of TPAR, STP, LSL, ABS, iCare and SGC reports/forms 
• Preparation of financial statements, business plans and cash flow statements
• Preparation of Division 7A loan agreements, Dividend/Franking credit statements and trust resolutions
• Liaising with clients and assisting them to meet their accounting and tax obligations
• Liaising with the ATO and other government regulatory bodies
• Other ad hoc duties as required

Sounds great, what do I need to have in terms of skills and experience?

• Minimum 5 years experience in the tax accountancy industry
• Attention to Detail and Compliance, including a strong understanding of ATO standards and requirements
• Experience in the use of Xero, MYOB and other accounting systems
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
• Excellent Customer Service & Communication Skills - verbal and written
• Excellent time management, an ability to meet deadlines and determine priorities
• Professional attitude and appearance
• Willingness to grow your career and continue your development
