Senior Outsourced Accountant - North Shore - $120-140K Package

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Outsourced Accountant to join a growing professional services firm. This role offers exposure to work with a wide variety of external clients and the opportunity to play a key leadership role within the business. Partner with clients to support their end-to-end finance functions, from AP/AR and payroll to financial & management accounting. The position reports directly to the Managing Director and works closely with other accounting staff in a collaborative, hands-on environment.

Your new role
-Preparation of financial statements, BAS, superannuation, and payroll tax.-Completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, journals, and general ledger variance analysis.
-Assistance with annual audit preparation and compliance requirements.
-Preparation of monthly management and board reports.
-Oversight and involvement in budgeting, forecasting, planning, and performance metrics.
-Regular communication with clients to ensure timely completion of work.
-Monitoring and supporting client accounting systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
-Identifying and implementing process improvements, financial controls, and reporting enhancements.
-Researching and implementing new technologies to improve client operations
-Supporting and guiding accounting staff; acting as the main point of contact for day-to-day queries.
-Providing direct operational support to the Managing Director.
-Assisting in maintaining a positive, efficient, and professional practice environment.

What you'll need to succeed
-Strong leadership capabilities and confidence in supporting staff.
-5-8 years' accounting experience, with exposure to the commercial sector in Australia.
-Bachelor's degree in Accounting and CA/CPA qualification.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-A collaborative approach and an ability to work effectively across the business.
-Adaptability and openness to new systems, technologies, and processes.
-A focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
-Strong work ethic, ability to work under pressure, and commitment to deadlines.
