Position Overview:

The Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in managing the financial health of the company. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with extensive experience in accounting, preferably within the construction and/or mining industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with group standards, and providing strategic financial insights to support our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation and completion of all aspects of month end reporting
• Prepare and review budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
• Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements within the business.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance internal controls.
• Support project managers with financial insights related to project costing and profitability.
• Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA or CPA preferred).
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Pronto, Greentree, or similar) and strong Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
