What you'll be doing

• Preparing and reviewing financial statements, income tax returns, BAS & IAS
• Managing a portfolio of clients and building long-term advisory relationships
• Reviewing work from junior accountants and bookkeepers (and helping them grow)
• Delivering tax planning, business structuring and proactive advice
• Ensuring all work is compliant with ATO, ASIC and Australian Accounting Standards
• Managing workflows, deadlines and job budgets with confidence
• Identifying smarter, more efficient ways of working (we love improvement ideas)

What we're looking for

• Degree qualified in Accounting, Commerce or similar
• CPA or CA qualified (or working towards)
• Strong experience in Australian public practice
• Confident preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns
• Solid knowledge of Australian tax legislation and GST
• Experience with Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks and cloud-based systems
• A natural mentor who enjoys helping others develop
• Strong communication skills - clients trust you and juniors learn from you
