Our client is a well-established accounting and business advisory firm based in Bundall. They provide tax, accounting and advisory services to SMEs, business owners, and high-net-worth clients across a variety of industries. With a strong reputation and consistent growth, they are now looking to appoint a Senior Accountant - Business Services to join their high-performing team.

This role is ideal for someone looking to step up within public practice, manage their own client portfolio, and work closely with experienced Partners.

The Role

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality business services, tax compliance, and advisory solutions to clients.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
• Managing a portfolio of SME clients and acting as their trusted advisor
• Providing tax planning, business advisory, and strategic accounting support
• Preparation of BAS, IAS, and GST compliance
• Liaising directly with clients and providing proactive advice
• Reviewing work completed by junior and intermediate accountants
• Supporting Partners with business advisory and tax consulting projects

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• 4+ years' experience in public practice accounting
• Strong experience in business services and tax accounting
• CA or CPA qualified (or close to completion)
• Experience managing SME clients and business owners
• Strong technical knowledge across tax compliance and advisory
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills
• Experience with MYOB AB, or similar cloud accounting platforms
