The Opportunity
My client is a growing, highly technology-enabled boutique accounting firm close to Concord, just a short walk from the station. With modern offices, strong systems, and partners from top tier backgrounds, the firm operates with the structure, processes, and client exposure of a much larger practice while maintaining a collaborative and supportive team culture.

As part of their continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Senior Accountant / Supervisor to take ownership of a client portfolio and act as the second in command to Managers. This is a key role within the firm and requires strong communication skills, client relationship capability, and the confidence to operate with a high level of autonomy.

About the Firm
A established boutique practice with a team of approximately 20 staff, operating within a modern, open plan office environment. The business has a strong focus on advisory services, client relationships, and continuous improvement through technology and training.

About the Role
You will manage your own portfolio and be the primary point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships and supporting them across their accounting and business needs. The role offers a mix of compliance and advisory work, with a strong emphasis on client liaison and developing into a true adviser rather than purely technical preparer.

Responsibilities include:
• Managing your own portfolio of SME clients across a range of industries
• Acting as the main point of contact for clients and building long term relationships
• Reviewing work completed by junior team members and providing guidance
• Supporting Managers as a key second in command within the team structure
• Delivering compliance work alongside advisory support such as structuring, planning, and client discussions
• Working closely with Partners on client strategy and service delivery

About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
• Solid public practice experience at Senior level
• Confidence managing your own client relationships
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to operate autonomously and support junior staff
• A proactive approach and interest in advisory work
